Coca-Cola Signs Soccer Deal

Major League Soccer has switched from Pepsi to Coca-Cola as its “official” non-alcoholic beverage. PepsiCo had partnered with MLS since the league’s 1996 inception, but its contract ran out in December. MLS made the deal through its marketing arm, Soccer United Marketing, which also represents the U.S. national team and the Mexican national team for U.S. matches—both of whom are also now sponsored by Coca-Cola.
