Nielsen Names Trina Fresco VP of Community Alliances Group

Nielsen has named Trina M. Fresco vice president of U.S. Community Alliances, Events and Engagement.

Fresco is responsible for leading community initiatives involving multicultural organizations across the U.S. The goal is to increase Nielsen’s brand awareness with diverse consumers to help improve their participation in Nielsen panels and studies.

Fresco brings more than 15 years of experience to her new position. She joined Nielsen in August 2013 as the director of Midwest Strategic Community Alliances, Events and Engagement. Prior to working at Nielsen, she spent six years as vice president of operations for smarTECHS and nearly 10 years as a national account manager in the polymer industry.

Fresco is passionate about community service and is active on several boards and committees, including the Chicago Foundation for Women. She is also involved with the Women in Nielsen (WIN) employee resource group, serving as the Midwest co-chair of the Community Relations subcommittee.

“Trina’s proactive and innovative approach to engaging with diverse communities has resulted in several meaningful collaborations that have long-term value for both Nielsen and our community partners,” said Cheryl Pearson-McNeil, senior vice president, U.S. Strategic Community Alliances and Consumer Engagement. “She not only thinks outside of the box, but recreates parameters all together.”

Fresco is a graduate of Saint Xavier University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She will continue to report to Pearson-McNeil.
